October 25, 2010: First live concert broadcast on Youtube - U2360º

The unforgettable U2360º tour of the Irish band U2, was first in many segments, broke records and undoubtedly showed the audiovisual world that creativity in combination with technology has no limits.


This tour became the first full concert to be transmitted via digital "streaming" through Youtube, this happened on October 25, 2010 from the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California USA.



With a revolutionary 360º stage called "La Garra" the world tour took place and in numbers left these figures:

  • A little more than 26 months in tour.

  • 110 shows around the world, 71 million fans in 30 countries of the 5 continents.

  • 10 million people watched the concert in streaming on Youtube.

  • 320,000 people attended the Azteca Stadium concerts in May 2011.

  • A 400-ton stage.

  • 134 people at each event behind the Irish band.



The tour came to a close in Moncton, Canada and before the closing night Ray Waddell of Billboard summed it all up: With tonight's final show, the U2360° tour will become the largest tour ever reported. Both in terms of gross box office and attendance. This tour is a remarkable feat on a global scale, from its staging and production, to its video elements, not to mention the 4-legged stage, signal routing and execution. Most importantly, U2 shook powerfully around the world.
